Kudos To The Tired Dad

We stumbled upon a remarkable blog post this week. It’s written by a young father whom we’ve never met. He goes by “The Tired Dad” on his blog, and we couldn’t agree more with what he says about being married but tired in this post: The Tired Dad – Marriage in the Trenches. (posted March 13, 2025)
What he wrote is completely relatable for us.
Here are a few Quotes from The Tired Dad’s post:
- “The love didn’t go away, but it changed.” (we wrote about this in our post: What Happened to Our Passion)
- “…without intention, without effort, without awareness, the person you once saw as your partner can start to feel like nothing more than a co-parent.” (as we wrote about in: The Drift)
- “One of the biggest lessons we’ve learned in marriage is that love isn’t built on grand gestures—it’s built in the small, everyday moments.” Little Things
- “We were both so focused on our children, on getting through each day, that we forgot to look at each other—to really see each other.” I Could Use Some Help
- “On the days when everything is going well, when the kids are behaving, when work stress is low, when life feels smooth — love is effortless. But what about the hard days?” Choose Your Hard
Kudos to “The Tired Dad” for sharing your experience as encouragement for us all.
